Our story
Natalie Gamble broke new ground by creating the first specialist practice in fertility law in the UK, having struggled to find legal advice when she built her own family through donor conception in 2001. She has helped win groundbreaking new legal rights for same sex parents in the UK, for which she was included the Independent on Sunday's Pink List (noted as the 25th most influential gay woman in the UK) and invited to meet the Prime Minister at a Ten Downing Street reception.
Our passionate team together has years of experience, and has acted in many groundbreaking fertility law cases including international surrogacy cases Re IJ (2011), Re L (2010) and Re X and Y (the first UK case to ratify a commercial international surrogacy arrangement), the Gladwin embryo storage case and advising Andy Bathie, the sperm donor famously pursued by the CSA for maintenance.

From our base in the beautiful New Forest (ninety minutes from London) we provide expert advice to clients all over the world, including high profile clients.
We work with gay and lesbian couples, single women, single men, and married and unmarried couples, and take a non-traditional approach to the law which is positive, personal and embracing.
We campaign relentlessly, both publicly and behind the scenes, and have won important legal changes for families created in alternative ways (see our Campaigning page).
Our website is also a leading resource online, with a vast amount of free information, and we are actively engaged with our community online, including having hosted the Fertility Friends Ask A Lawyer page since its creation in 2007.
As well as helping individuals, we work closely with leading organisations, including Stonewall, COTS, Surrogacy UK, the Donor Conception Network, Infertility Network UK and Fertility Friends, as well as advising policymakers and government.
